NSFAS Trimester 2 2022 application. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has recently announced that 2022 applications for the second trimester 2 will open on Wednesday 10 August 2022 and close 19 August 2022.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme is responsible for the DHET Bursary Scheme, what we call the NSFAS bursary. NSFAS bursary applications will open tomorrow for Trimester 2 bursaries.
NSFAS Trimester 2 2022
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will open applications for TVET College students to study in Trimester 2 tomorrow. They will then close on 19 August, giving students just over a week to apply.
This application period is only for students who want to study at one of South Africa’s 55 Public TVET Colleges during Trimester 2.
Students should apply online or through TVET college bursary offices, according to NSFAS. Students can apply in the following ways:
- Platform for walk-in online applications (super user)
- Students record their application at a college computer lab.
- Platform for assistive capture applications
NSFAS Trimester 2 2022
The application will then be captured on behalf of the student by a TVET official. Students must submit the following supporting documentation while applying:
- Copy of the student’s South African birth certificate/copy of ID document/temporary ID
a copy of the parent(s)/guardian/South spouse’s African birth certificate/a copy of their ID document/a temporary ID - Proof of income (if applicable) – student/parent(s)/guardian(s) or spouse (must be less than 3 months old).
- SASSA participants do not need to provide proof of income.
Students who have been identified as a “vulnerable kid” must also submit a Vulnerable Child Declaration Form from a social worker.
If the applicant is living with a disability, they would then need to submit a Disability Annexure A form, along with the rest of the required documents.
Students should visit the NSFAS website to track their applications. Those who have applied for NSFAS during the walk-in application period will not be required to fill out the NSFAS system access form. They will only need to send an email to [email protected] for their account to be re-activated.
