Feenix Funding is South Africans online crowdfunding platform that connects students and communities to fundraise towards achieving debt-free education.
When creating a Feenix Funding Student Profile you will need the following:
- A working email address
- Personal & Education Details & Information
- A Profile Picture
- A certified ID copy (not older than 6 months)
- An official fee statement
- Your story, according to the guidelines on the website Latest Proof of Registration
- Completed EEA1 Form (student living with a disability)
- Medical Note confirming disability (student living with a disability.
- You can access feenix website by visiting https://feenix.org/ and on with your application
Who qualifies To Be On Feenix Funding Platform
fees must meet the following criteria:
- Must be South African citizen/ Permanent Resident/ Refugee/ Asylum seeker student
- Must be registered at 1 of the 26 Public South African Universities
- Must have current and/or historical debt (including graduates with historical debt)
- Must have a household income under R600k & R850k for students living with a disability.
How To Apply on Feenix website
- Visit the Feenix Funding website for your feenix application
- Once on the home page, select the “for students” tab
- Scroll down and select “start fundraising”
- This will take you to a page giving you the option to indicate if you are a student or funder
- If you are a student, select the boxes to indicate that you meet the application criteria (valid SA document, student registered at a public South African university, combined household income of R600 000 per year)
- Once you have done this, select “next”
- Indicate whether you are a South African citizen, permanent resident or refugee/asylum seeker
- Once you have done this, select “next”
- You will then be taken to a page where you will have to register on the Feenix platform
- You will have to supply your details and register in order to use the Feenix platform
- Once you have registered, follow the prompts to update your Feenix profile
