The Higher Education Student Loans Board (HESLB) would like to let potential loan applicants know that it is nearing completion of a system that, starting this year 2023/2024, would eliminate the need for applicants to provide physical copies, which will lower application expenses.

In addition, before starting to apply for loans on July 15, 2023, HESLB will announce the ‘Guidelines for Granting Loans and Grants to Higher Education Students for the Academic Year 2023/2024’ which will be available on the website www.heslb.go.tz. All applicants are advised to read and consider it.

Heslb General Information
HESLB executes one of the key mandates in administering loans to students pursuing higher education. Every year, the Board prepares the Loan Application almanac to guide on the process of loan issuance to needy and eligible students. As per the almanac, Loan Application Window opens once annually. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students who are eligible are invited to apply.
Criteria on eligibility and the application process is stipulated in the Loan Application Guideline for the respective year which can be downloaded on this site. Prospective applicants are encouraged to read the guidelines carefully, prepare the prerequisites and make their application online through the Online Application and Management System (OLAMS). How can I apply for a HESLB loan via OLAMS?
People who are waiting for application forms may use the HESLB site to register and finish the form by following the easy procedures below.
- Go to the official HESLB OLAMS website at https://olas.heslb.go.tz/.
- Go to the main page and choose Apply for a Loan.
- A registration form will display on the screen.
- Complete the registration procedure by providing all essential information.
- Carefully fill in all of the essential fields with the needed information.
- In the preferred format, submit the relevant papers.
- After you’ve completed all of your submissions, go through each one carefully.
- Make the application fee payment. Applicants must pay a TZS 30,000.00 non-refundable application fee through GePG via NMB, CRDB, TPB, Vodacom M-PESA, TIGO PESA, and AIRTEL MONEY. Filling Out the HESLB Loan Appeal Form Step-by-Step
After announcing the appeal window today, the Higher Education Student Loan Board has issued eight steps to fill out a loan appeal form for the 2022/2023 academic year.
‘Appeal Now’ may be found at olas.heslb.go.tz. To begin filling out the appeal form, go to olas.heslb.go.tz and click on ‘Appeal Now.’
For Form IV, create an account and sign in to it. Using your Form IV Index Number, create an account and log in.
