KDF recruitment 2023/2024 is the process of actively seeking out, finding and hiring candidates for a joining the Kenyan Defense Force.

KDF
The Kenya Defence Forces are the armed forces of the Republic of Kenya. They are made up of the Kenya Army, Kenya Navy, and Kenya Air Force. The current KDF was established, and its composition stipulated, in Article 241 of the 2010 Constitution of Kenya; it is governed by the KDF Act of 2012.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
KDF Recruitment 2023 general condition
- Recruits/ Service Men
Candidates who want to enlist as recruits in the Kenya Defense Forces must fulfill the following requirements:
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Must be of age between 18 and 26 years old.
- A minimum of mean grade D (Plain) in KCSE.
- Must be medically fit.
- Must have no criminal record.
- A minimum height of 5 ft 3 in. (5’3”).
- Minimum Weight:
(a) Men – 54.55 Kg (120 lb).
(b) Women – 50 Kg (110 lb). - Female candidates must NOT be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the entire duration of training.
- General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets
The following qualifications must be met by applicants who want to enlist as cadets in the Kenya Defense Forces:
- Must be a Kenyan ctizen with no dual citizenship
- Must be in possession of a valid Kenyan National Identity Card
- Eligible applicant must be of age between 18 and 26 years old
- Must be physically and medically fit in accordance with the KDF standards.
- Applicants must have no criminal record.
- Minimum Height:
- (a) Men, 1.60m (5ft 3in).
- (b) Women 1.52m (5ft)
- Minimum Weight
- (a) Men, 54.55 Kg (120 lb).
- (b) Women, 50.00 Kg (110 lb).
- Female candidates must NOT be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the entire duration of training.
How to Apply for KDF Recruitment 2023/2024
Follow the steps below to apply for a position in the Kenya Defence Forces in 2022-2023.

- Visit the careers page and review the application procedures.
- Choose the position for which you want to apply, enter accurate information in the space provided, and upload all required documents.
- Recheck your information, and then submit it if everything is correct.
Only those who have passed the qualifying exams will be interviewed, and their qualifications will be scrutinized (Candidates are to come with their original acknowledgement slips printed online).
NB: Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or SMS once the selection process is complete.

When do applications for KDF Recruitment 2023 open?

Please be advised that the recruiting dates for 2023 have not yet been made public by the KDF. The Ministry of Defence will publish dates for recruitment in local newspapers, on its website, and on social media.
