Simba Sports Club is a football club based in Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Founded in 1936 as Queens, the club later changed their name to Eagles, then to Sunderland.
In 1971 they were renamed Simba. Simba is one of the two biggest clubs in Tanzania, alongside cross-city rivals Young Africans.

Founded in 1936, It started as a broke away club from another giant football team in Tanzania, Dar Young Africans and was first named Queens, in honor of her Majesty, the Queen of England. The Club had several name changes from Queens to Eagles, then Sunderland and in 1971 it was finally renamed Simba
Simba SC has won five national championships, five league championships, and multiple CAF Champions League appearances. Their six CECAFA Club Championship victories make them one of the biggest clubs in East Africa.
The Benjamin Mkapa Stadium serves as the site of Simba’s home games. With 1.9 million followers, an 89 percent increase from the year before, and the fastest growing Instagram account among football clubs in 2022, Simba was the most popular account.
With a total budget of Sh 6.1 Billion (equal to $5.3 million) announced for the 2019–2020 season, the club is among the wealthiest in East Africa.
The Simba Sc have won the Tanzania Premier League title 22 times, 5 times behind Yanga and are proud of their recent record of doing well in the CAF Champions League.
