Sibanye Stillwater Learnership 2022 is a work based learning programme that leads to an NQF registered qualification. Learnerships are directly related to an occupation or field of work, for example, electrical engineering, hairdressing or project management. Learnerships are managed by Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs).

Founded in 2012, Sibanye-Stillwater is one of the largest producers of palladium and platinum, not only in South Africa but also in the world. They are also one of the top gold producers in the world. The global precious metal mining group is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
The company’s South African-based operation include Beatrix business (in Free State), Kloof. Driefontein and Cooke operations (located in Gauteng) – These consist of surface and underground gold mining operations.

In South Africa, Sibanye Stillwater offers learnerships to employees interested in a full-time study of the mining business as well as technical and vocational skills training at our expense to community members through educational programs and instruction offered at the Sibanye-Stillwater Academy, a large in-house campus located on the West Rand.
Requirements For Sibanye Stillwater Learnership 2022
- Applicants must have a Grade 9 or equivalent NQF Level 1 Educational Certificate, with Mathematics and English Communication, in order to be accepted onto the Rock Breaker Learnership
- Applicants must be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Care Centre
- Pre-screening and psychometric evaluation may form part of the selection process. All applicants will be subject to clearance screening by the South African Police Services as required by the National Explosives Act. Short listed candidates will be requested to attend a panel interview. Applicants who receive no response to their applications within 14 days after the closing date, may consider their application for the Learnership to be unsuccessful. - Preference will be given to applicants who have more than six months previous mining experience in the production environment of a mine
